We'll be back, it's written in (blue) stone!

What a truly brilliant week at Bluestone, Pembrokeshire!   Even though this has been my third visit in 3 years this was definitely the best so far!  As you might have seen in my post earlier in the week I was astonished by the bargain I'd managed to bag myself as a result of a Facebook post.  And I'll be honest, I really couldn't understand how they could offer so much for so little.... I now do!  I've had a taste of what a Bluestone Inclusive package is like, I'm hooked and we'll def be wanted to do that next time.  There will most definitely be a next time as it's written in blue stone (credit to my partner for coming up with that one - yep, he made me write that bit!)

I've been wanting to get a picture like this for 3 years now!
Here are my recommendations for visiting Bluestone for us Thirty Somethings:

  • Like their Facebook Page - they've always got deals on there and I've had inside information that another one is on its way!
  • Check out the Inclusive packages - they work out cost effective, even when there isn't an offer on
  • Book any spa treatments in advance - it's a popular place so you don't want to be left disappointed
  • Make the most of the opportunity to arrive early on site and stay later on the last day - use the time to pay a visit to the village to scope things out
  • Plan in a visit to the Knights Tafern for some pub grub and a great selection of drinks including Welsh brewer Tomos Watkin (brewed & distributed from my hometown Swansea) - heard they play sports matches in there but don't think there was anything on whilst we were there!
  • Wear elastic trousers if you plan to visit The Yard as they do themed buffet nights - we tried out the Italian - totally yummy!
  • Visit the spa (twice) to make the most of the thermal rooms, relaxation room, great selection of treatments, jacuzzi and the 6ft Spaniard!  Forget taking your phone in there - little signal or WiFi - I suppose it's kind of the point of going there to relax!!!
  • Not forgetting the Olive Tree Restaurant (within the spa) to sample their great value Afternoon Tea for two £9.95 - or maybe a glass of bubbly -  and don't worry about taking money in with you, just pay on the way out!
  • Be prepared for some exercise as lots of hills on site or rent out a buggy for a bit of fun!
  • Take a camera as the views are beautiful and you'll want to treasure the memories for years to come!
  • Plan in a day or two to venture about Pembrokeshire as it's a beautiful part of the country!

And as the sign suggests - do as little or as much as you like!  You can probably tell that I'm not too adventurous - like to stuff my face, have a good drink and laze about is spas - but isn't that what us thirty somethings do!!!!???

There are lots of other activities that you can do a Bluestone - you can find out more on their website!

I most definitely give Bluestone Wales a 10 out of 10!

Beautiful view across the resort!
Pleased to see Bluestone supporting welsh producers!
Enjoying my fave drink - Peroni at the Knights Tafern

Watch out for lots of hills!
