Sunglasses, Scarves & Toasties at Rhosili

Whilst half of Wales nursed a Triple Crown hangover after yesterday's Six Nations win against England I decided to wrap up warm and take a trip down to Rhosili, Gower - something I'd been meaning to do for a little while.  The sun was shining and it was a crisp day - so sunglasses and scarf a must!

On entering the gateway to Gower it began to become a little overcast, but as I haven't been down the Gower for some time, the views still looked spectacular with the vast fields all around.

On arrival to Rhosili it seems quite a number of people had the same thoughts as us as it was nicely busy.

Before setting out on our walk we (my partner Stuart and I) head to the Bay Bistro - a business I'd been following some time on Facebook.  It was absolutely heaving in there - with some tables even reserved!  An obviously popular place.  Got served pretty quickly.  Now as many of you would know from reading my first blog entry, or my welcome page I'm far from being a food critic, so as you can imagine I ordered the classic Ham & Cheese toastie accompanied by a nice pot of tea!

Sitting outside was a great option as the views were amazing!  The sofas looked appealing inside, but I think I'll save that for a rainy day instead!  I'd highly recommend the Bay Bistro if popping down to Rhosili!

There were a few other coffee shops in Rhosili but I have to say this place was certainly the most popular - and of course, I was there because I'd been following them on Facebook and Twitter for so long too!

Popped into the National Trust shop before our walk - quaint little place which for tourists they must love it as it had loads of lovely welsh products.  I was particularly interested in the wool blankets for just £12!!!  I headed straight to the coffee machine!

Had a refreshing walk right down to the Coastguard's 'office' (not sure if that is what they call it).  Didn't want to go onto the causeway over to Worm's Head as I didn't have the appropriate footwear on - by this I actually meant I didn't have the energy - looked like it need a bit of concentration!!!

Through the National Trust Gower Facebook page I've heard they do guided walks over to Worm's Head so think I'll give that a whirl next time - or even take part in the Gower Walking Festival in June this year!

Overall, a lovely day out.  Think it would have been even better if the sun was shining and if I'd chosen more sensible footwear!Next time a guided walk too!

For those considering a trip to Rhosili - wear good footwear so that you can venture out onto Worm's Head or even a walk along the beach - something I wasn't able to to today as didn't quite think it through when choosing todays outfit!

No rugby - just Swansea Bay, Twin Town views & a few Dafodils!

What a beautiful day it's been today in Swansea!  Sun has been shining and the temperature pretty mild considering its February.   A great excuse to get out of the house, make the most of the weather and take some practice shots with my new camera.  (No rugby for me!)

After stopping off in Swansea City Centre to visit the Welsh market that is there this weekend, picking up a few locally sourced products, Stu (my partner) and I were about to head down to Rhosilli, however a wrong turning in the way one system saw us heading up Mount Pleasant... and then I had a thought, lets go to the spot on the hill... you know the one... where Twin Town was shot!  Anyone from Swansea will know what I mean!!!!

A part of Swansea I don't frequent that often, not that I'm a snob, it's generally not 'en route' for any of my journeys. BUT BOY was it peacefull and the views were just magnificent today with the sun shining.

Grabbed a few shots and then decided to head down to Blackpill to my most favourite view!  Hoping and praying that a few dafodils were in bloom.

To my delight, there were, just a few... and I have to say, perfectly placed too!

Bit of a shame the tide was out, maybe next time I should find out the tide times to plan it a little better!  Lots to learn with this photography malarky!  Hope you like the photos... I certainly do!

PS. Rhosilli tomorrow! :-)

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!
As the title suggests, I'm a 30 something year old living in Wales.  This blog is to report on the various visits I make around Wales both personally and for work.
Some people say I have the best job in world, I would have to agree!  I do Social Media for a living and particularly like to work with businesses in the Tourism and Retail industry - what girl wouldn't?  I get to go to the best places and thought it only fair to share these with you lovely people!
Big disclaimer coming up - I'm not a food critic - far from it - you're more likely to see me in Jenkins Bakery than a fancy restaurant!  That's not  say I won't visit a few nice restaurants along the way, there is just a better chance of me reviewing the toilets and the wi-fi facilities!
With me being big into my Social Media I'll be looking for places to visit and things to do through suggestions and recommendations.  So if you do come across something I should try out, then leave a comment on my blog, pop me a tweet (@nat_reynolds) or email me on info@natreynolds.co.uk making sure you provide me a link to their Facebook Page, Twitter and/or Flickr account of course!
Enjoy!
